Recommendations & Affiliate Policy
Effective: August 31, 2026
At a glance
BlockTheCalls publishes practical privacy guidance for U.S. households. We choose resources using these principles:
- Free resources first. Government, nonprofit, open-source, and official provider resources come before paid options where they can solve the problem.
- Consumer value. A paid service must add meaningful convenience or protection; payment alone does not earn a recommendation.
- Honest limits. No recommendation is complete protection, anonymity, or a guarantee against fraud.
- Clear relationships. When BlockTheCalls may earn affiliate or referral compensation from a link, we will disclose that material connection clearly beside the recommendation and link. The commission does not change the price you pay unless we say otherwise.
BlockTheCalls has or may seek affiliate relationships with privacy-service providers, including Proton. We recommend a product only when we believe it is useful for the stated use case; readers should still review its current price, privacy terms, and suitability for their own situation.
