# Self-audit extension

Verify a mobile number you own, then run the local Chrome extension against public sites using only those details. Findings stay on your device unless you export them.

Published by [DCJP, LLC](/about), owned by CEO [Doc Compton](/about#doc-compton). Updated October 2, 2026.

**Your number, your search.** You must prove you own the mobile number before the extension can run. It uses only the contact details you already told us. Detailed findings require both email and mobile-phone possession verification. We ask only for the BlockTheCalls verification code we send you. Never a password, recovery code, authentication code from another company, Social Security number, date of birth, or bank information.

Simple steps

## How the self-audit works

1. Prove the email and phone are yours (when intake is open).
2. Install the Chrome extension we send after verification.
3. Run one search pass. Results stay on your computer unless you export them.

The catalog is bundled in the extension. It does not call BlockTheCalls to fetch search targets. Findings stay in your browser unless you later export them.

This is for **your own** information only, not a people search for someone else. Automated exposure checks are limited to the email address and mobile number you verify; we do not use a name alone to search for another person. Do not submit a child, ward, or another person’s information through this self-service form.

## Verify the number you own

This form shows what number verification will ask for when intake opens. Until then, fields stay locked and nothing entered here is sent to BlockTheCalls. Optional marketing is never required to use the extension.

First nameLast nameEmailMobile phoneU.S. state

Required certification**I certify this is me.**
I am submitting only my own information for my own self-audit. I am not requesting a search for another person, a child, a ward, or anyone else’s identifiers.

Optional communication choices

The self-audit is available whether or not you choose marketing. SMS marketing is never a requirement to sign up or use the extension. Giving us a phone number or completing verification does not enroll you in marketing texts. (When intake is live, a one-time verification SMS is part of proving you own the number. That is not marketing.)

**Marketing email**
Send me occasional privacy news, security alerts, and BlockTheCalls offers. I can unsubscribe at any time.**Marketing text messages**
Send me occasional privacy news, product updates, and promotional SMS. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

We do not sell or rent the personal information you submit for self-audit verification. Mobile information and SMS consent are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Read our [Privacy Policy](/privacy) and [SMS Terms](/sms-terms).

When intake opens, Cloudflare Turnstile (captcha) will be required on this form and checked on the server before we accept a request.

Number verification is not open for submissions yet. You can still load the Chrome extension locally for testing; do not submit personal information through this form until intake is enabled.

[Delete my info](/exposure/delete). removes the stored name, email, and phone used by the extension and disables it on that Chrome profile.

Install help

## Install and troubleshooting

Stuck on install? Open a question below. This is a fixed help list, not a chat bot.

### Where do I get the Chrome extension?

After your email and phone checks succeed, we email the install link for that Chrome profile. Until intake is open, the form stays off and no link is sent.

### Chrome asks for permissions. Is that normal?

Yes. The extension needs tab access to open the public search sites in the bundled list. It should not ask for your bank password or Social Security number. If it does, stop and email support.

### The extension will not install

Use Google Chrome on a computer (not only a phone browser). Sign into the same Chrome profile you will use for the audit. Allow extensions from the link we emailed. Then reload Chrome and try again.

### It opens tabs but finds nothing

Some public sites change or block automation. That does not mean you are invisible. Use the free Privacy Guide checklist next, and export any findings the extension did save.

### I want to delete my info

Use [Delete my info](/exposure/delete) to remove the stored name, email, and phone used by the extension on that Chrome profile.

### Still stuck?

Email [support@blockthecalls.com](mailto:support@blockthecalls.com) or call [+1 (786) 983-3806](tel:+17869833806) (Mon-Fri 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Eastern). Say you need self-audit install help.

## Free protections first

Before or after a self-audit, start with free steps: credit freezes, a mobile-account lock, a strong email password, and the National Do Not Call Registry for telemarketers.
